It is believed that any kind of learning has to start at an early age. Young kids are very curious to learn about anything that they come in contact with. This curiosity has to be nurtured by the parents to help their child grow. St. Paul Christian School located in Westport, Connecticut, is one such place where kids, right from the age of 2 through 5 are nurtured.

St. Paul Christian School offers programs catering to two, three, and four year olds, which leads to the Kindergarten program. The learning experience helps the child to develop critical skills and knowledge which paves the way for achieving greater things in future. A brief description of the two year old program is as follows:

Two Year Olds: Also called as the ‘Mommy and Me’ program. This is a unique program which features both the child and the mother. At the age of two, the child always prefers to be in the protective and caring comfort of the mom. Going to an unknown place with lots of strangers can be quite difficult for the child. So, the program is designed such that the mom accompanies the child to every class, making the child feel comfortable in the new environment. The number of children per class is limited to eight to facilitate quality learning, with one teacher.

On the other hand, parents who want inculcate a sense of independence in their children can opt for the ‘Drop-Off’ program. This helps the child to interact with other children and adults without being helped by the mother, thus acquainting themselves with new situations. Once again the class strength is limited to eight, with a teacher and an assistant. The child has to be two-and-a-half-years old to enroll for this program.
